A car was recovered from the Youghiogheny River in West Newton on Sunday.
Initially, first responders were dispatched to scour the river close to where Lowber Road intersects with Sutersville Road on Saturday night.
On Sunday morning, firefighters and boat crew members returned, ultimately towing a completely underwater white KIA SUV onto the shore.
A police officer from West Newton informed a Channel 11 news team present at the location that the submerged SUV did not contain anyone inside.
The probe regarding how the SUV ended up in the river continues.
