Avoid: Blue Toilet Bowl Cleaners

Kellsie advises against purchasing the blue toilet tablet cleansers at Dollar Tree. She explains, “Although these tablets might freshen and cleanse your bowl every time you flush, they tend to cause stubborn blue stains inside the bowl. These stains become particularly difficult to remove over time.”

Do: Toilet Bowl Stamps

Kellsie stated, “These won’t stain your toilet bowl. It ensures the toilet stays clean with each flush and also combats unpleasant smells.”

Avoid using: Fabuloso or AJAX Multi-Purpose Cleaner

Kellsie suggests skipping these as they do not have disinfecting properties.

Use: Lysol Multipurpose Cleaning Solution

Kellsie says to get the Lysol multipurpose cleaning solution because it cleans and disinfects. “It removes soap scum, grease, mildew, and more,” said Kellsie. “It can be used in
showers
sinks, countertops, walls, baseboards, toilets, and additional spaces.

Additionally, it has minimal fragrance, ensuring you won’t be bothered by any overpowering odor.

Avoid: Cleaning Agents for Laundry Stains

Avoid purchasing any laundry stain removal items at Dollar Tree.

Use: Dawn Dish Soap and Hydrogen Peroxide

Mixing Dawn liquid detergent with hydrogen peroxide can serve as your own homemade stain remover. As stated by Kellsie, “Combine one portion of Dawn dish soap with two portions of peroxide.” After applying this cleaning mixture onto the stained area, gently rub it in and allow it to remain there for approximately 20 to 25 minutes before proceeding to launder and dry the item normally.

Kellsie’s suggestions are incredibly wise, and we will surely consider them when we make our next trip to Dollar Tree.
