Customers are marvelling over an ‘adorable’ $17 lamp from Kmart Australia to spruce up home corners and hallways.

The portable rechargeable lamp from Olivia Glass has amazed countless people nationwide because of its ‘sleek’ design.

One woman from
Melbourne
purchased the lamp to illuminate her dim hallway and was happily astonished by the substantial amount of light the compact item delivers.

‘To be honest I wasn’t expecting these lamps to work so well. The front part of the hallway is really dark, and can be really dark during the day in winter as well,’ she wrote on
Facebook
.

‘I thought I’d give the lamps a try and wow, I love them.’

Kmart also shared a short video boasting about the latest product, which has three brightness levels, a push button switch and is lightweight.

‘Illuminate your area with this Kmart discovery. For just $17, the Olivia glass lamp offers an ideal ambiance for reading, relaxing, or steering clear of brighter lights,’ the description stated.

The lamp offers cozy, ambient light and functions for six hours after being fully charged.

Various customers who purchased the lamp gave positive feedback about it on Facebook, which motivated others to make a purchase as well.

‘I love mine as well. I’ve got one placed in my foyer and another couple above my piano. Having three different brightness levels is fantastic,’ someone commented.

‘Now well, I want those,’ another confessed.

‘A third person chimed in, saying it was so beautiful and soothing.’

Earlier this year, Kmart launched another rechargeable lamp that caused quite a stir among Australians because of the luxurious ambiance it brings to their living spaces.

Jess Fussell
, from
Perth
, recently bought the popular item to refresh her living space.

“The $17 lamp from Kmart that every stylish home should have,” she mentioned.

Jess similarly acquired her coffee table books along with different types of home decorations from the discount store.

‘Kmart truly excels at providing stylish yet budget-friendly home decor items.’

Emma Bloomfield, an interior designer from Sydney, formerly shared with FEMAIL that incorporating layered lighting can add a sense of softness and make a space feel more vibrant and dynamic.

She suggested opting for a mix of lamps, hanging fixtures, and wall sconces rather than using intense ceiling-mounted fluorescent tubes.

Replacing harsh white light fixtures with warmer bulb options and switching to adjustable dimmer switches allows you to customize the ambiance according to your preference, enhancing both the utility and atmosphere of the space.

The portable touch lamp from Kmart is ideal for adding depth to any space—plus, with its affordable cost, you can purchase several to position throughout your home for a unified appearance.

Currently, the lamp is only offered in a gold finish, but customers are eagerly anticipating Kmart to introduce additional color options.

‘I adore this! I’m really keen on getting one in chrome silver,’ someone commented online about the touch lamp.

‘Impressive – I want it for my kitchen,’ someone else commented.

An alternative choice is the Elly table lamp, reminiscent of a piece plucked directly from a 1970s time capsule, thanks to its pleated lampshade and distinctive design.

The Scandi-inspired lamp, priced at only $15, has been praised for its suitability in both living rooms and bedrooms.

A web-based vintage décor shop is offering a comparable lamp, stating it’s from the late ’70s to early ’80s, priced at $1027.

The table lamp was created by Poul Seest Andersen and produced by Le Klint and Holmegaard in Denmark; it stands at a height of 40 cm measured from the bottom to the top of the shade.

The retro lamp has an eggshell white finish.

Similarly, you can find new lamps at European stores online for approximately $300 AUD.
