How to Create an Chic Spring Vase Yourself
Firstly, secure your wooden skewers vertically along the outer edge of your candy dish using hot glue. Ensure they’re spaced approximately 1-2 inches apart and positioned such that you have an uneven count of sticks for proper jute twine threading. Begin by attaching one end of the twine at the bottom of one of these skewers. Weave over and under alternate skewers as you make circular loops upwards; proceed until the string reaches roughly a quarter-way up the height of the skewers. Add groups consisting of three differently sized wooden beads to each individual skewer after completing this initial phase.
Next, initiate another series of similar horizontal wraps with the twine above where you stopped previously—this time continuing upward till just below two-thirds of the total length from the base. Again place sets of three distinctively sized wooden beads on top of each skewer following completion of this second row. Finally, carry out additional looping with the twine right up to near the tips of the skewers without covering their very ends.
To complete the top part of your project, apply hot glue to attach the thin burlap ribbon along the exterior of the leftover sections of the skewers. Next, do the same thing on the interior side so that the ribbon runs along both edges of the sticks. Finally, secure the broader ribbon around the candy dish bowl with glue and form it into a bow. If you want to adapt this decoration for cherry blossom season, consider painting your wooden beads in light pink craft paint instead.
