Another update for the collection? This roughly $56 balcony renovation by Mo and Stef of

And when we talk about sunshine, Mo and Stef chose a vibrant yellow paint shade.
The vibrant yellow color creates an appealing contrast against the blue flooring.
When we first moved in, the balcony was one of those areas we hadn’t truly considered yet,” they explain. It was “empty, somewhat overlooked, and evidently crying out for care.” Despite this, it held significant promise because it was encircled by trees offering a splendid vista—it simply required some tender loving care.
Mo and Stef explain, “Our vision extended beyond just having another space; we aimed to create an verdant addition to our work area, a snug supplementary chamber perfect for balmy summer nights, a spot that beckons us outdoors.” They chose a vibrant yellow shade (Swingcolor’s “Banana”) as their answer. They further elaborate, “This choice was meant to evoke summertime vibes while harmonizing with the azure flooring.”
How To Paint Fabric
The striking stripes were a simple do-it-yourself project.
Mo and Stef mention that adding the stripes was straightforward — however, they advise ensuring you secure your tape borders by initially running a coat of white paint over the edges prior to using colored paint for striping. This technique prevents paint from leaking beneath the tape, resulting in sharp boundaries. According to them, despite having to remove some grime from the somewhat dirty surface, the actual painting process took roughly three hours and went quite smoothly.
The most challenging aspect was selecting the paint hue. They explain, “We certainly had the option to invest additional effort into planning or experimenting with various shades, yet ultimately, we followed our gut feelings, which led us to achieve what we envisioned.”
Several potted plants, a table, and fairy lights complete the entire aesthetic. As Mo and Stef mention, “The balcony brims with character and summery ambiance,” adding, “‘It has turned into our petite city escape.'”
